Who has the right to kill someone's dreams?

KOA BLOG HEADER

Who has the right to kill or trample on ones dreams or ambitions? Okay I'll admit the air thing is owned by my cousin(NOT ME) I only turn a wrench on the byrds, but I do have  concept to build my own agricultural aviation company. So what it has not happened yet? Have I asked for one red cent from anyone about giving me money for anything? No. I live on a combination of a family Trust fund what was left of my mom and dad's funds after they passed away, and SSA and what ever I can generate going towing or turning a wrench. A skill that I learned from one of the most gifted mechanics on the planet or at least in my opinion, is any way. His name is James, Stewart MacDonald. My towing skills I learned from Tommy Thompson, T-N-T Towing Boise and John W Nausbaum, Johnny's Towing Twin Falls. Someone who also passed away but left a large legacy and taught many like myself how to tow. I am one of only 7 in Idaho that was certified by the U.S. DOT long before TRAA's and WreckMasters certification was ever brought about. When it comes to my aviation license they ask where it is. It's in my dang pocket. In my chain drive wallet. But given all that even if some things are way out there, I am beginning to think that many who comment are jealous of the Knytes, of me, of the first shop that was created and really jealous that they have to go out and sweat their nuts off to make a buck and I have my stuff covered. As it really is, I don't have to do a damn thing for the rest of my life job wise. I'll always have money in my butt, in the bank a roof over my head, food in my belly and fuel in my tanks. I try to help others who roll over these highways trucking, and towing. In amongst that I try to help these small kountry(mis-spelled on purpose) towns and areas because its what the Great Spirit would want me to do, but even the Great Spirit's Son got hammered and crucified for helping these earthly idiots so if he can bear it so can I. But there are times I think, piss on em, sit back, be a stuffed up stuck up person. Be selfish. So in a way that's what I'm going to do, for the Knytes of Anarchy, and myself. All others can just sit back and druel. Hope ya'll have a bunch of TP cuzz ya'll are going to need it. Keep on trucking.

The greats started near here why can't we?

KOA BLOG HEADER

When many question our roots or even thinking of recreating the magic that was the Hazzard County Garage, into what will be Hazzard County Kustmz and doing it here in rural Idaho. The truth to it is simple. First you have to start small and at the bottom. No job except digging a deep hole ever starts at the top. With that said many of the GodFather's of kustoms started near here. Nyborg, Coddington, Brizio and others All started in or very near to Boise. Coddington started purtty near to our other shop in Rupert Idaho. In fact he was raised there. Granted in time most moved to California and other grand places but their beginnings can be traced right back here to Idaho. With Boise out our back door 60 or so miles, Salt Lake City Utah and other meccas of hot rod and custom lovers near by why not here? Too many say that or ask that, why here? I say why not here? Now I'm deeply sorry about the crap, the bad mouthing, mud slinging and all the rest of what I did in Pocatello. Yes I apologize and probably will keep apologizing till I kick the bucket. I can't fix what happened there any more than I can repair history. Once the hour or day passes its gone. All we have is the hope for the future. With the right engineering, tenacity, marketing and not repeating things of my past as well as our clubs past Hazzard County Kustmz as well as the Knytes of Anarchy can be what we were only better. That's my goal and that of the club. Yes the greats started here so again the question is asked, why can't I? More over why can't we? Lets move on. To Ben, MonkeyWrencher and anyone else who I hurt, stepped on your toes etc again I'm sorry. Lets call it good. I moved into a new neighborhood, lets shake hands and call it good. Okay?

When Bullstuff meets reality

KOA BLOG HEADER

The new year is about upon us, here and there is change severe change in the water. As much as I'd like it to be things being equal its time to tweak the Hazzard gig to meet 2009. The old relic of a custom all group known up to this point as the Hazzard County Knytes will soon hail as the Knytes of Anarchy. Second there will be a remaining connection to our legacy from the now albeit loyalty to Hazzard, with the shop to open in mid 2009 as Hazzard County Kustmz. That said while I'd love to find, build and display the old General Lee, there are not that many 69-70 Dodge Chargers out there to build one from. So what's a person to do? You build old Robert E Lee's right hand commander General Jackson. To keep things still in the loyalty picture we use the year of Gen Lee, as the racing number on the door, 69. So make wise I'll be looking for a full sized Chevy sedan to build the Jackson. Third, this is Glenns Ferry Idaho, not Hazzard nor even Hagerman Idaho although location is only a few miles away from each other. This trip out there is not the combination of going in money as there was when our Hazzard Garage (aka, Pat and Jim's Speed Shop) opened in Hagerman(aka-Hazzard) in 1982. There is about half of what we went into the original shop with. But with all that said and while carrying the Dukes legend on would be nice in our effort its more like carrying and furthering the legacy of Hazzard County, not just the famous Dukes. When going into something this large on such a small budget takes hours of thought planning and long nights on the phone with the crew as well as both members of the old group The Hazzard County Knytes, and the new members of what will be the Knytes Of Anarchy. The Word Anarchy describes us best, look it up on Wikipedia. The TV series Son's of Anarchy albeit the inspiration and all for our total makeover is not an exact duplication. Since SOA is about bikes and bikers, we are more about custom big commercial trucks from 1-1/2 tons to full on rolling 18 wheel works of art. Rather than a past time building for customers and as well as members of the group rigs that are their calling cards and something they use to make a living. Beit trucking or going towing. So yes change is not only in the water but in the air. Is it doing away with our past going into the future yes and no, yes its moving to a new horizon while remembering our history. And making that legacy live in a new better way. And after all is that not what the Dukes would do?

Good numbers , keep it tween the ditches.

Spooky resemblance ain't it?

KOA BLOG HEADER

I took the short time to look something up. When looking at a photo of soon to be VP of these U.S. of A states I caught a photo of Sarah as the beauty pageant queen contest of her home town in Alaska. Sarah-Palin-Miss-Wasilla-1984

Then after looking I thought of one actress that looked similar. Annette Funicello.

AnnetteFunicello

You be the judge, but both while quite striking I wonder will our soon to be VP do a beach party movie, L-O-L. Gotta go Star Trek Nemesis is on can't miss it.

Good numbers keep trucking.

Its election time

KOA BLOG HEADER

Unless you have been in a cave in some place on Earth removed from the rest of the world ya'll know we are in an election year in these U.S. of A. States. I will admit before Sarah Palin entered the game, I was all for Obama. Once Sarah entered the race I was first struck by her looks but was also convinced that she was the right choice to lead this nation. However I want to hear from either party what they are going to do to fix DOT, CVSA, H-O-S, as well as other issues regarding trucking. I will throw this out if somehow she reads this and I don't really expect her to take up my offer, but before the election Sarah, take a cross country run with me in a big truck. See the issues involving trucking then let's talk about the support of the UAITA. Or the Knytes-of-Anarchy. Sure she looks good, sure Sarah was a beauty queen, and as far as I can see she has been a great Governor of Alaska. But although she makes the best person as a VP pick I have seen in decades but can she lead our nation? Hope so. She will be President soon. Either, God forbid something happens to McCain, or at the next election 4 years from now. My thoughts I could be wrong.

Welcome back to the Truck Stop

KOA BLOG HEADER

There are those who are going to say there he goes again copying or duplicating yet another TV show. Not so. Sure the new hit series Son's of Anarchy was the inspiration but not in the duplication side. Here in the Knytes-of-Anarchy we never duplicate we innovate, and that's exactly the purpose here. There are no doubt going to be voices of dissemination that are going to say is that all he does all day watch TV? I will not say no , but no I do not sit and watch TV all day, but I do get a bunch of ideas from the tube. The similarities of bikers and truckers is uncanny. We both drive long distances, eat greasy food, do good for our communities, love the open road, good driving weather, and for 80% of our lives we travel the highway of life alone. Many truckers like bikers are none-conformists we don't follow all the rules, and bottom line the real difference between Truckers and bikers is we truckers just have more wheels. The days of the old school truckers has started to fade as modern rigs with sweet cool air conditioners, and just about every creature comfort known is on a big rig replace those old snorting Peterbilts, Kenworths, Macks, Western Stars an so on. The new look of modern truck stops of being travel centers rather than just truck stops, like those old Mom & Pop truck stops, where coffee was either free to us trucking or going towing, or was real cheap. Where truckers no matter the rig were respected guardians of the highway, all seem to be of thoughts of yesterday. Which is where the Knytes-of-Anarchy come in, our mission is to preserve and maybe resurrect that respect. We are the Knytes-of-Anarchy, the kustom commercial heavy truck bunch of the Hazzard County Knytes. Now you know.

The Knytes of Anarchy is about a group who loves Trucks

Welcome to the open road, warm weather full tanks of fuel and a good paying load. There you are living the dream or at least the dreams of many of us who grew up with #2 Diesel in our veins. Long nights, 24 hour coffee stops, talking on the ole CB and watching for good ole Smokey. While many might consider this a direct copy of the TV show, Son's of Anarchy on the FoX Cable network. Not so. Our mission is to keep alive the history of long haul over the road trucking. To preserve the integrity of being a trucker. That's what's behind the Knytes-of-Anarchy. So grab a cup and take a gander as we go trucking.
